you know when your knitting means more to you than other stuff, when you go through what i've just been through.
i have an elderly cat who really hates iams, but we can't get the brand of food he wants (he's a meow mix/friskies boy) because it makes another of our cats really really sick. so he eats it anyway with no problems.
well, just a little while ago he snaps out of his catnap and starts to retch.
i kind of shove him off the couch so he doesn't soul cough on the printer which is right next to him. then i race off the couch when i see him with his head in my knitting basket. i clamp my hand over his mouth and pick him up. he then proceeds to puke in my hand and as i move my hand away, it lands on my expensive vegan earth shoes.
then i say with a sigh of relief, "oh! you didn't get sick on my knitting. good boy!"
now my shoes are kinda ruined. eh. not really, they're made of hemp, it can wash off.
lol
*edit* i was just informed that he was fed a large amount of cat treats.
yep. that'll do it.
