and so it is snowing again today.
yesterday was a fantastic day - so warm with its 30 degree self. i didn't wear my coat to church, just a sweater and a scarf.
today everyone seems to be in a terrible, grouchy mood. especially me. i have this headache that won't go away and to top it off, i was eating french bread pizza and one of my molars broke in half. i'm not in any pain or anything, but tomorrow i have to call the dentist. i hope he can either take me tomorrow after work or wednesday which is my day off.
will this terrible weather end? i got a gardening catalogue in the mail today and i'm starting to go crazy. this cold needs to stop. seriously. he has to pack up his stuff and go home now. his mama is calling him.

so my day off consists of sun.
hooray.
too bad it's too cold to enjoy it.
anyway. this is my current favorite video:
ben lee rocks my socks.
although he rolls in second next to jason schwartzman -- alright 3rd -- because then there's also robert schwartzman. no wait. 4th, because then there's danny wood who shoves them all down a couple notches where he presides as 1st. lmao. i'm so fickle.

one of the things that annoys me is when people brag about things that they're supposed to already be doing.
ie.
today as i was ringing up a customer, i reached over to get a bag for a shirt she'd just bought.
her: oh, it's okay. i don't need a bag. we're already so wasteful and i need to eliminate a lot of waste. it's good for the environment.
me: *crickets chirping* (i just look at her)
her: (realizing that i'm not going to bust out and sing "for she's a jolly good fellow") i know. whoop-dee-doo. right?
does she honestly think i'm going to bake her a cake or something?
i do realize that the enviroment is in dire need of saving and doing your part to help should be as natural as wiping yourself.
and i also realize that there are some that do and there are some that don't. but, seriously, bragging about doing your part for the environment is about as pointless as boasting, "i look both ways before i cross the street." because you should be doing that already.
i'm just annoyed today.

yesterday, whilst all the stores were closing around us, our store stayed open.
there was a mad, bad blizzard where people kept flying off the road and our store stayed open.
the power went out and the registers stopped working until they turned on the generator and our store stayed open.
you couldn't see across the street and yet, the store stayed open.
i don't mean to be crude, but i'm beginning to realize why our store is called "Dick's".
here's a picture that i took of the front of the store.
today, i'm off and i'm not doing anything except watch across the universe and knit.
