what's music to my ears?
a thunderstorm @ 4:30 am.
i looked out my window and saw it raining! you have no idea (well, maybe you do) how fantastic i felt.
then later this morning, i checked the weather channel and we're expecting cloudiness and rain.
heck, that's better than snow.

now to leave you with my new love:
(this one kicks the #1 out of the #1 spot - heh, not really, but he's pretty darn close. #1 could probably snap him like a twig with his muscley self. moby hasn't a chance! oh well. cage fight over me? taking all bets!)

yay! it's thundering!

so it snowed the day after my sunny day.
i was so mad.
so i put off buying seeds and other springy things until i'm absolutely sure that winter is absolutely, completely finished.
but it might snow sometime soon, i might just pack up my stuff and head for california or something. miami? (i don't know... i don't think i want to go to miami again. even IF danny lives there...)
i am sick to death of this weather.
i hate going to work freezing my tootsies off, then leaving work at the end of my shift and chucking my heavy coat in the back seat because it's in the 50s.
i'm sick of feeling sluggish and weighted.
i am sick and tired of being sick and tired.
i'm ansty to get out and do something with my sad looking yard.
maybe in april.

happy happy spring!
and what a gorgeous one it is!
i went out to get my mail a little while ago and i was able to go outside in a t-shirt and jeans (with of course my neon fluffly slippers lol).
i'm soooo excited about the upcoming better weather.
this morning there was a little frost on the ground, but it all went away.
now it's time to get some stuff planted and cheerful once more.

here's my favorite spring movie, Return to Me.

(it's not about a spring, it's just one i watch IN the spring because of the gorgeous garden one of the characters has and it just makes me more hopeful.)

have you noticed how for the one person that doesn't like you, there are about 5 that do?
there's this girl i work with and for some reason (i think she just has a bad attitude altogether) she thinks i'm annoying (she's mentioned this to other people) and is just plain mean to me.
i don't believe i've ever done anything to provoke her (except maybe be nice and cheerful lol) and although everyone tells me just to blow her off, it kind of bothers me.
you know, you just can't let things like that go. at least i can't. i try and be friends with everyone, but when you lose a vote it's just doesn't feel good.
lately, i've just been saying, "it's okay. it's not me, it's her. it's not me, it's her." like my friend debbie says, "it's not you. she's the one with the stick up her a**." lol i love her!
you can't win them all, i guess.
but i do have some good friends at work. we all kinda drive each other crazy at times, but we like each other. and that's good.
what's that saying? "i'm good enough. i'm smart enough. and doggone it, people like me!"

so, lately i've been trying my darndest at fighting a cold.
everyone at work has been sick, so even with airbourne, it was kind of hard to avoid it.
i've been sneezing alot, my voice has been coming and going, and i have a slight cough, but it's not too bad.

i don't have any pictures or anything to close this post... oh wait, maybe i do.

happy st. patty's everyone!

ugh.
i am trying really really REALLY hard not to get sick. for the last couple of days i've had a sore throat, but today it's kind of scratchy with a little cough. i've been taking dayquil and zicam and eating oranges. so i'm not as bad as i should be.

and so, i do not feel like doing anything today, except get my paycheck and hang out in the gardening department of random stores.
i want to go buy new clothes, since i bought shoes on my last paycheck, but i have to save some money in case my dental insurance won't cover the majority of my root canal on the 18th. (bit w00t :p)
it's sunny outside, but the snow still won't go away. i see greenish brown in places, but i'm kind of sick of this already.
i think i need to do a detox or something. lately, i've been feeling really sluggish and it's not like i've gained a lot of weight this winter, but i've been feeling really frumpy as well.
which reminds me, i have to go to the market for some fruits and stuff. my sister got a new smoothie cookbook and i think i'm going to incorporate some delicious drinks in my diet instead of junk.
i've been having really bad eating habits lately. i don't have time for breakfast, so i drink a soda in the morning. then around lunchtime i either have m&ms or beef jerky or whatever - sometimes nothing. then for dinner i eat whatever i make or what someone else makes. and i chew gum all day long.
i'm so not healthy. i need to get my butt in gear now that i have medical insurance (finally! after like 10 years, right?) and find a regular physician.
okay, this is a really getting to be a boring blog post so i'm going to post a picture so that this post was not done in vain. lol

it's the future mr. dolly!!! (only if i'm rejected by future mr. dolly #1 and if robby will finally let me meet him. lmao) yay!!!

now i'm gonna get up and go do something. time to go get some money. heh.

i LOVE cooking shows.
if i had my own way, i'd have my OWN cooking show.

in fact i do this:

(p.s. this isn't my postsecret)

here are some chefs i admire.

this is g. garvin. i LOVE watching his show on tvOne on sundays.
he's that type of chef who cooks with their hands and doesn't use wussy measuring cups and such. lol lately, i've been cooking that way. i let my sense of taste and smell decide how much of what is needed.
i love the shows in which he's outside working at a bbq.
everything he makes looks fantastic that i want to write him a fan letter asking if i can come over to his house for dinner sometime. or heck, he can come over here and cook for me!
if you'd like to know more about him check him out @ chefgarvin.com

this is lidia. she has this fantastic show on pbs.
i swear, everything she makes looks like a work of art.
this is the way i dream of cooking. it's always been my dream to make the most fantastic italian cuisine imagined.
in fact, i'm going to use a lot of her recipes when i have my dinner party in the spring/summer.
check her out @ lidiasitaly.com

rachael ray. (shut up. i like her!)
her 30 minute meals and $40 a day show are the ones i watch. (i'm not that big a fan of her talk show and i never really watch it
(except that one show in which she had christopher meloni. *rawr*)
she's another one who doesn't really use measuring cups.
i think that's always impressed me. my mom never used measuring cups either and she's a fabulous cook.
a lot of people don't like rachael because they think she's annoying and blah blah blah, but everything she makes looks easy and delicious, so y'all who don't like her can suck it ;)

check her out @ rachaelray.com

so this year i'm going to be having a 7 course meal dinner party.
time to plan and make my house look classy ;)

i got a few of my gardening catalogues in the mail.
wish for spring wish for spring
i am sooooo sick of the ice age.
the snow seems like it's starting to melt, but no way to tell if it's going to be permanent.
*le sigh*

here is a video about a spring.
(sorry, couldn't find anything seasonal. just literal. it's still hilarious.)
