after i graduated high school (a million years ago), i took a year off to just do nothing.
i was tired of school.
i was sick of dealing with everything (anything?).

so i did nothing.
except watch movies.
i took in whatever movie was on TCM or AMC especially.
i never really got into the classics when i was younger, so i figured i'd do it.
in fact, the most classic movie i've ever seen was Help.
and i watched that every day for an entire month my senior year. lol

so then i started falling in love with all these movies.
most of which have since become part of my movie library (and i have a rather large one) and have been viewed over and over - and introduced to many of my friends. lol

the first being Mildred Pierce

i adore this movie.
joan crawford was mad brilliant in this (despite being a crazy bitch in real life lol).
this was made when ms. crawford was starting to be considered a "has-been".
but thanks to hard work and dedication, this gem won her an oscar.

i hated the way faye dunaway portayed joan crawford.
granted, the lady was psycho, but she wasn't an ugly, f'n, C.H.U.D.
(sorry to the Mommie Dearest/faye dunaway fans, but that whole sideshow was just wrong. lol i think the only movie in which i liked faye dunaway, was Supergirl. but i digress... )

hopefully, every once in a while i'll discuss a few more of my favorite movies.
and i DO have many.
lol

and on an unrelated note:
if he's this sweaty after a 3 mile speed run... ;)
look at my baby all sweaty...
w00t.

**edit**
i just noticed how everyone in this entry looks pissed... lmfao

so this afternoon as i was driving to my job to drop off some cookies i made for a friend who's going into surgery tomorrow (and totally missed him by 15 minutes! *sob*), i was singing along to the music in my fake-pod when i noticed that my singing voice has gotten a little deeper.
when i was younger i used to sing soprano. then when i hit my 20s, i became an alto. now i'm an octave away from being a tenor, if i'm not already.

i've always been able to sing along to fiona apple, but now i'm starting to match wits with amanda palmer. and that's freaking sweet! yay!

idk. it was just something weird i noticed. ;)

here are two songs i can sing to now. w00t.
i need to start a band.
